A Monthly Note from Superintendent Scallon

April 30, 2025

Dear Weld RE-4 Families,

Summer is around the corner! Students' last day of school is May 22. If you haven't already started planning for summer break activities, now is the time to start connecting with our partners for:

We'll include more resources in our May newsletter.

State Assessments We've completed our state assessments this month, and were pleased with the attendance and low opt-out rates. Parents — thank you for partnering with us on preparing your children. These assessments serve as our report card and help provide us with important data that aligns resources and supports to your children's needs. We eagerly await the August results.

District Office Update You may have noticed that we hit a new milestone in our District Office construction project. We officially obtained permits and construction has begun.

Feedback We've recently completed focus groups on a variety of topics. First, I want to thank all of our volunteers for providing their time and sharing their perspectives. It is clear from your feedback that we have strong, trusted relationships in the communities we serve. That is not something we take for granted, and we look to continue to build upon the solid foundation of these relationships to continuously improve in our mission of educating our children.

Join me in finishing this last month as strong as this year started! Thank you for your partnership!

With Gratitude,

Michelle ScallonSuperintendent
